The Opportunity

We’re the specialist lender for the real economy. Businesses that make and build things, homes people live in, and savers whose money works hard for them.

We offer a diverse range of savings and loan products. From personal and business savings accounts and loans for new cars, to complex financial credit facilities for businesses requiring significant investment and mortgages for landlords with multiple properties – no two customers are ever the same.

Customers come to us when there’s a lot riding on it, the options are complicated and the clock is ticking. We take the time to understand what’s really going on, make a call and stand behind it. Technology takes care of the routine work, so you spend your time where judgement makes the difference.

How we work

  • Think deeper: Skills matter more than job titles. Never settle for “that’ll do”.
  • Own it: Don’t wait to be asked. If you spot a problem, fix it.
  • One Shawbrook: Lots of brands, one team. Share what you know, wherever you sit.

If you are ready to take ownership, contribute new ideas and help make things real, you are our kind of person. Work with us because you:

  • Want to be part of the best specialist lender for the economy, driving real growth across the UK.
  • Never stand still and enjoy an ambitious, hardworking culture where we predict change and adapt fast.
  • Think deeper, don’t assume and never settle for standard. You look beyond the obvious, apply critical judgement and find better ways to solve complex problems.
  • Want to own it, work constructively with others and make decisions that you commit to and drive through to action.
  • Want to pull as one in a diverse, inclusive culture that champions everyone’s right to be themselves, and you care about our impact on society and the environment.
  • Want to keep growing professionally and be the best version of yourself, in a culture that recognises and shares skills and expertise.
