The Role & Responsibilities
Purpose & Scope of role
Managing the day to day Operational Security (OpSec) aspects of the IT Security Chapter in operating the Information Security controls and managing user enquiries.
Providing IT Security support and know-how to the Franchises and Central Functions within the Bank.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Managing the day to day Operational Security (OpSec) aspects of the IT Security Chapter in operating the Information Security controls and managing user enquiries.
- Support incident investigations (and support forensics / responses)
- Support and participate in Red teaming, pen testing, social engineering
- Analyse and advise on new security technologies and program conformance
- Recommend modifications in legal, technical and regulatory areas that affect IT security
- Assist the IT Security Chapter Lead with managing Services, suppliers, partners and stakeholders
- Supporting stakeholders with InfoSec guidance and assessing any information security risks within their business areas and provide security consultancy and support to technical teams
- Create new ways to solve existing production security issues
- Make sure that Information Security and Cyber risk is identified and successfully managed in everything that we do.
- Perform third party risk analysis and security assessments
The Person
Skills & Experience
- Experience as a "hands on" Technical security engineer
- Experience in working with SOCs (on-site and off-site) and 3rd Parties
- Experience in securing both on-premise and off-premise Infrastructure deployments
- Knowledge of key Azure and server security services
- Ability to demonstrably link security solutions to business goals and objectives
- Experience of supporting the creation of security architectures
- Proficient in at least one scripting language and/or tool (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
- Experience in working with applications, example DLP tools
- The ability to encourage colleagues to implement and maintain an Information Security controls that supports the entire Bank.
- High interpersonal skills to enable partnership with IT and business stakeholders operating at all levels within the organisation.
