The Role & Responsibilities

To ensure the business has relevant Management Information available to sufficiently monitor credit profile and performance and then measure against stated risk appetite. 

Analyse outputs and build an efficient reporting capability to identify trends, loan characteristics, asset value, credit quality, concentration risks and performance characteristics.

Manage the division’s impairment models and develop clear documentation and controls. 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • As required, design and develop risk reporting strategy, processes and associated data infrastructures, and proactively synchronise with The Bank’s wider reporting cycles, Quality Assurance activity and strategic MI development.
  • Produce regular risk and business MI in a high quality, clear, visually rich format which includes insightful commentary, trend analysis and draws out concise conclusions and recommendations to ensure that the Division’s Risk profile is managed within agreed Risk Strategy and Risk Appetite.
  • As required, present MI reporting and analysis at Risk Committees.
  • Represent the Division on various Project working parties – including IFRS9 and Data quality / Integrity.
  • Contribute to cost of risk modelling and forecasting.
  • Support development and implementation of scorecards and automated decisioning tools.
  • Promote and contribute to the required development of the Bank’s data systems and databases / warehouses.
  • Support Product and Risk Policy development initiatives and associated regular review cycles with bespoke data requirements and data
  • Support / deliver ad-hoc projects as required by the Risk Director and Managing Director.
  • Develop internal network and effective working relationships with key stakeholder.
  • Construct comprehensive documentation of all MI and regular reports to ensure knowledge retention within Risk.

 

The Person

Skills & Experience

  • Expected to have experience in MI development and Risk Analytics in financial services or equivalent, preferably gained through leading financial institutions.
