We are currently looking for a Senior Risk Analyst to support the bank’s growing demands for development, enhancement and maintaining of credit portfolio analytics and reporting functions.

  • Develop a good understanding of the current portfolio performance across the multiple consumer products


  • Develop a good understanding of Impairment and Cost of Risk calculations under IFRS9 accounting standards


  • Develop a good understanding of Expected Credit Loss models, for example, PD, EAD and LGD


  • Work in collaboration with internal business partners to provide key modelled assumptions for impairment forecasting


  • Work in collaboration with internal business partners to provide detailed and meaningful insight of the Consumer portfolio


  • Develop lifetime loss expectations of multiple consumer products for pricing and returns assessments


  • Develop and improve portfolio analytics across multiple asset classes


  • Produce accurate and timely cyclical and ad-hoc reporting


  • Contribute towards the development of management information reports


  • Provide mentoring and support to junior team members


The Person
  • Degree level qualification in mathematics, science, engineering, business, economics or similar discipline
  • Very good understanding of credit risk concepts, in particular consumer finance
  • Experience in using Probability of Default, Exposure at Default and Loss Given Default Models
  • Strong analytical skills while working in a commercial environment
  • Experience working in financial services in a similar role
  • Good understanding of Impairment and Cost of Risk Calculations
  • Strong SAS programming skills including Base SAS and Macros
  • Strong data handling and processing skills including SQL programming
  • Good knowledge of statistics and econometrics
  • Good understanding of principles and application of statistical modelling techniques to risk management including credit scorecards and loss modelling
