The Role & Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to be a leader of Application support for the franchise part of the group..
As part of the Corporate Technology team, the role-holder is responsible for ensuring excellent, expert knowledge and skills are made available to support business initiatives and critical applications.
The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the technical teams, steering the direction of these teams, aligning with the overall direction of the Bank, ensuring best practice is followed at all times and ensuring that services are delivered to the consistently high standard expected whilst also ensuring that the necessary governance and controls are maintained in the process.
Key to the role is building strong working relationships within the Engineering function, the business, service providers, software vendors and other internal delivery partners.
The Person
- Demonstrable experience of leading and developing a technical team
- Experience of working within a regulation banking organisation
- Knowledge of Financial Services Industry
- Strong Technical Delivery background
- Experience of responsibility for critical processes and tasks and working to tight deadlines.
- Strong Application Support experience and 3rd party vendor management.
