The Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Telephone Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Glasgow, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business growth through proactive telephone-based sales and client relationship management.

  • Develop and implement effective telephone-based sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and lead generation
  • Nurture and expand relationships with existing clients to maximise revenue potential
  • Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of products or services
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
  • Forecast sales pipeline and provide regular reports on performance metrics
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes

The Person

  • Proven track record of success in telephone sales or business development roles
  • Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales forecasting tools
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Expertise in cold calling and lead generation techniques
  • Experience in managing and nurturing client relationships
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant sales or business development certifications (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and B2B sales processes
  • Resilient and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
